Adam Wagner – Senior Fantasy Sports Analyst: The Wagner Wire
What’s going on DFS Champs? Hopefully everyone has awoken from their turkey-induced coma by now. This installment of the Wagner Wisdom will snap you out of it in time to enter the DFS Arena. I like to play DraftKings for the big contests but have had tremendous success on other sites like DraftPot. After getting fed up with some of the bigger season-long sites, we found a home with Maximum Fantasy Sports. MFS allows for 3-manager trades! I was sold. Anyways, lets get to DFS talk. There is value at the QB position for week 12 in the NFL. While others might be stuck on Brady; Hoyer, Cousins, and Palmer have favorable matchups.
Brian Hoyer – DraftKings $5,000/DraftPot $11.60

Hoyer is the QB that jumps off the spreadsheet to me this week. He is going up against one the NFL’s worst ranked pass defenses, the New Orleans Saints. The Saints have allowed the most touchdowns (28) this year to opposing teams and 293 yards/game through the air. The Saints have had a week to make adjustments with their bye, but I do not feel a problem this big can be fixed with one week’s worth of work. These league low stats combined with a wide receiver called Nuke, could cause Hoyer to blow up for a 30 pt game! Hoyer has 1704 yards and 13 touchdowns this season. Check his status on gameday (concussion) but he should be primed to ignite an explosive offense.
Kirk Cousins DraftKings $5,400/ DraftPot 17.37

Captain Kirk will be looking to lead is Braves on the warpath against the G-Men this Sunday. In a pivotal matchup that could determine the NFC East Champion, Cousins is terrific matchup against a lousy Giants pass defense. The Giants are yielding an NFL worst of 310 yards/game by air. As a Giants fan, I am dreading the fact that Cousins has a healthy DeSean Jackson, who has made a career of torching the Giants secondary. Not to mention that the defense can’t cover tight ends. Jordan Reed is one of the most versatile tight ends in the NFL and had a decent game earlier this year catching 6 targets for 96 yards. Cousins may have to deal with some light rain in Maryland but should build to his 2,485 yards and 15 touchdowns on the season.
Carson Palmer: DraftKings $7,100/ DraftPot $20.67

Carson can make any throw on the gridiron. Surrounded by weapons, we’re reminded of the caliber of player he once was at Cincinnati. Except at Arizona he won’t have to worry Larry Fitzgerald changing his name to Larry Once! Needless to say, his environment has improved and Arians has installed the right system for Palmer. Carson is one of the NFL’s top quarterbacks this year, throwing for 3066 yards and 27 touchdowns. This week he faces a San Francisco defense that is allowing 277 yards/game. Look for Palmer and his explosive offense to benefit from this mismatch in week 12.
Experience No Limits with DraftPot

As I mentioned earlier, if you find yourself having difficulty placing in the money, don’t be afraid to check out other DFS sites that don’t have all the sharks on them. DraftPot is a great alternative to DraftKings and they differentiate themselves with a multiple “flex” position. Use promo code TheWagnerWire for a free contest and experience to limits!
