JustIn Time! – Top 3 NFL Fantasy Tight Ends: Week 2

Justin Hawley – Fantasy Sports Analyst: The Wagner Wire

Hello fellow DFS grinders and welcome to the first edition of JustInTime Fantasy with yours truly. Today I will give you the 3 tight ends who I think will go stud mode and hopefully help you and your lineup rack up some fantasy points and possible a heavier bankroll in DraftKings.

 Tight Ends

Rob Gronkowski $7,300 – New England

I know what you are saying, that is one expensive player right? Well he is worth every bit of the price tag people. Gronkowski has historically dominated on the Bills since 2010 posting 37 catches for 543 yards in 7 career games against them. Oh and don’t forget he has TB12 throwing him the ball! Having grown up in the suburbs of Buffalo is another motivating factor for Gronk to go to Ralph Wilson stadium and put up major fantasy points for your team this week.

Travis Kelce  $5,100 – Kansas City

I have Travis Kelce ranked #2 on my top 3 for this week as the Chiefs host the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead. It’s no secret that Kelce has the physical tools to warrant this rank. He is a 6-5 255 pound red zone nightmare with deceptive speed and a QB in Alex Smith who looks for tight ends quite often in the red zone. The Broncos defense gave up over 900 yards and 9 TDs to opposing tight ends last season making Kelce a top candidate for massive points in week 2 without breaking your bank with a modest price of $5,100.

Jason Witten $4,300 – Dallas

Witten

Coming in at #3 I have my dark horse of the week at the tight end position Jason Witten. I know some of you might be scratching your head with this pick but I will tell you why I chose him. With Dez Bryant on the shelf for 4-6 weeks with a broken bone in his foot, that’s going to open up a lot of targets for the Dallas offense. Who better to give them to than a proven commodity? We know him and Romo have one of the best QB to TE connections in the NFL and that will lead to the monster week that he is going to have. At $4,300 on DraftKings, Witten should be a very affordable option to equip to your team and get those points!
