Glizzy or Cheeseburger?

When our country celebrates our independence each year on July 4th, we will most likely consume a glizzy or cheeseburger. Personally, I will eat both. I usually bypass the fruit and other distractions on the sides table and focus specifically on the hotdogs and burgers. I like to live by the rule of two; two glizzies and two cheeseburgers. This is always the goal or mission going into the holiday. Of course, I’m also consuming Major League Baseball and highlights of Joey Chestnut from the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest. Fox Sports provided the line: Joey Chestnut: -4000 (bet $10 to win $10.25 total). That’s America in a bun; baseball, hot dogs, burgers and competition. The cheeseburger is a staple of

Favorite Five WrestleMania Shows

Professional wrestling is fascinating to me. While bemoaned by many, pro wrestling surprisingly has had multiple boom periods. Professional wrestling helped usher in the early television era (think DuMont Network) thanks to performers like Gorgeous George. The two other times professional wrestling was pop culture chic, it was Vince McMahon at the helm. Most recently, was the period that is refereed to as “The Attitude Era”. Those in their 30s-40s fondly remember the era that birthed legends: “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, “The Rock”, “D-Generation X” (of course what Eric Bichoff did with WCW and the success of the nWo). Similar to NASCAR during the same time period, pro wrestling was a television ratings and ad revenue darling. However, before the heights

Tip Of The Week: February 28th

It’s the TOTW and we’re looking for the best value for NBA daily fantasy contests. A key value play is Jalen Suggs for Orlando. He’s only $5,400 on DraftKings, and has a decent matchup this week against the Pacers twice this week. Suggs should log over 30 min of gameplay and should be good for a double-double. On the flip side, Lance Stephenson has great value, too with a price at $4,500. Lance had an ankle injury last week, but should be cleared to play this week against the Magic. If Stephenson is a late scratch, pivot to Chris Duarte. My "must haves" this week are Ja Morant and Steven Adams. Ja is $9,700 on DK, but I look at as buying

TWW – Tip Of The Week

It’s the TOTW, and we’re tipping things off with some NBA, which resumes this week. A key value play is Seth Curry for Brooklyn. He’s only $6,000 on DraftKings, but has a tough matchup this week against Boston. Curry should log over 30 min of gameplay without Kyrie Irving in the lineup, so roster him up. I’m stacking Curry with Patty Mills. Mills is priced at $5,300, and has averaged 34 minutes of gameplay over the past five games. Klay Thompson is priced at $6,700 currently. His price tag is a little high, but he’s almost guaranteed to go off for over 30-point fantasy points this week. Klay is currently logging just under 30 minutes per game, and averaging 32.4 fantasy

2019 NBA Mock Draft: Post Early Entry Withdrawal Deadline

Photo by Streeter Lecka: Getty Images By: Lucas Vargas (Twitter: @lucasvargas44) The NBA Draft takes place this week on June 20th and underclassmen have chosen whether or not to remain in the draft or return to school. This draft may not have the deep star power of other classes but there are several players that can make an impact as role players to help teams immediately. Dylan Windler and Carsen Edwards are two names that stand out to me who could go late in the first round with chances to meaningfully contribute to playoff ready teams. With franchises concluding their prospect workouts and finalizing their draft boards, here are my predictions: 1. New Orleans Pelicans: Zion Williamson, Duke Blue Devils, Age 18

Sweet Fantasy – 2018 AFC East Preview

Chris Sweet – Senior Fantasy Analyst: The Wagner Wire Guess who’s back? Back Again. Football’s back. Tell a friend. Oh yeah, it’s that time again! Another fantasy football season is upon us. I am your Sweet Fantasy once again and the Wagner Wire is fired up for this season. This is the first of my division preview series which will go over the fantasy options on each team. It’s good to be back!   Buffalo Bills   The Bills found a way to end their long playoff drought last year. They never totally bought into the Tyrod Taylor era and now will make way to future starter Josh Allen. Their biggest fantasy star the past 3 years has been LeSean McCoy. Shady is living up

Sweet Fantasy – 69 Things from Week 12

Chris Sweet - Senior Fantasy Analyst: The Wagner Wire I hope everyone had a great Holiday Weekend full of food, football, and family. It is now one of the most important weeks of the Fantasy Football Season. Week 13 is the last week of the regular season in many leagues so those Byes and last playoffs spots are on the line. Without further ado here are 69 things I took away from Week 12.   The Dallas Cowboys and any Fantasy owners of theirs sure miss Ezekiel Elliott. The offense is just completely out of synch. Rod Smith is an interesting guy to pick up for the playoffs with Alfred Morris struggling and Darren McFadden retiring after being waived. In a season
