2018 Season Preview – Tight Ends

Chris Sweet - Senior Fantasy Analyst Tight End can often be overlooked when drafting your fantasy team but getting consistent points out of your Tight End position can be the key to taking home the trophy at the end of the year. The Tight Ends will be ranked in tiers for this installment of you Sweet Fantasy. Tier 1 1. Travis Kelce - Chiefs 2. Rob Gronkowski - Patriots That's the first tier at least for this year. I prefer Kelce due to Gronkowski's injury issues over the years. If you draft either of these guys it is the equivalent of starting a WR1 or WR2 at your Tight End spot every week. It can be a huge advantage. Tier 2 3. Zach Ertz - Eagles I'm putting

2018 Top 10 Fantasy Football Running Backs

Adam Wagner - Senior Analyst: The Wagner Wire The 2018 NFL season is upon us, so that means we need to be entrenched in as much fantasy football news as possible. This installment will cover the top 10 NFL running backs for fantasy football in 2018. The list was generated based on a points per reception (PPR) league format.   #10 Leonard Fournette - JAX There were several questions regarding Leonard Fournette’s fitness and ability to catch the ball out of the backfield last season. In his rookie campaign Fournette toted the rock 268 times for 1,040 yards, crossing the goal line 9 times. He also caught 36 of his 48 targets from Blake Bortles, stacking up 302 yards receiving yards and one touchdown.

Sweet Fantasy – 2018 AFC East Preview

Chris Sweet – Senior Fantasy Analyst: The Wagner Wire Guess who’s back? Back Again. Football’s back. Tell a friend. Oh yeah, it’s that time again! Another fantasy football season is upon us. I am your Sweet Fantasy once again and the Wagner Wire is fired up for this season. This is the first of my division preview series which will go over the fantasy options on each team. It’s good to be back!   Buffalo Bills   The Bills found a way to end their long playoff drought last year. They never totally bought into the Tyrod Taylor era and now will make way to future starter Josh Allen. Their biggest fantasy star the past 3 years has been LeSean McCoy. Shady is living up

Sweet Fantasy – 69 Things from Week 12

Chris Sweet - Senior Fantasy Analyst: The Wagner Wire I hope everyone had a great Holiday Weekend full of food, football, and family. It is now one of the most important weeks of the Fantasy Football Season. Week 13 is the last week of the regular season in many leagues so those Byes and last playoffs spots are on the line. Without further ado here are 69 things I took away from Week 12.   The Dallas Cowboys and any Fantasy owners of theirs sure miss Ezekiel Elliott. The offense is just completely out of synch. Rod Smith is an interesting guy to pick up for the playoffs with Alfred Morris struggling and Darren McFadden retiring after being waived. In a season

Sweet Fantasy – 69 Things from Week 9

Chris Sweet - Senior Fantasy Analyst: The Wagner Wire It's time to get down once again. The fantasy performances were a little uneven in Week 9. We are down to the home stretch in most leagues with only 4 weeks left to make the playoffs. Here are 69 things I took away from Week 9. Holy smokes, Carson Wentz is gonna win a lot of people Fantasy Titles. Jay Ajayi looked impressive on only 9 carries. Alshon Jeffery is emerging a little. Even so, this was only Jeffery's second game with more than 4 receptions. The Cowboys have quite the young Quarterback as well in Dak Prescott. He is a true Fantasy Stud. Terrance Williams caught all 9 of his targets

Sweet Fantasy – 69 Things from Week 8: DeShaun Watson injury edition

Chris Sweet - Senior Fantasy Analyst: The Wagner Wire Week 8 was a whirlwind. The bye weeks are in full swing and Week 9 is especially brutal. Let's get right down to it. 69 things, thoughts, and anecdotes from Week 8.... That was the original open. The days that have passed since then have brought turmoil and pain as well as new hope to many Fantasy Owners. Some comments have been edited but I included the original comment. Original comment: You can't stop Deshaun Watson. You can only hope to contain him. Edit...Dear God Why??? DeShaun Watson tore his ACL in practice and is out for the season. Original comment: Will Fuller has 7 TDs on just 22 targets. Very Efficient. Edit...Glad

Sweet Fantasy – 69 Things from Week 5

Chris Sweet - Senior Fantasy Analyst: The Wagner Wire Week 5 is in the books so here are 70-1 things I took away from it. Ben Roethlisberger is playing like he did retire after last year. The only Steelers players you can start right now are Antonio Brown and Le'veon Bell. Joe Mixon is getting the carries now but his 2.8 ypc needs to improve if he is going to break out. The Bengals offense is starting to look better. AJ Green is the Elite WR nobody talks about. He is on pace for over 1600 yards receiving. Joe Flacco shouldn't be owned in many fantasy leagues. It's hard to trust any Ravens WR on any given week. Buck Allen is

Sweet Fantasy – 69 Things about Week 3

Chris Sweet - Senior Fantasy Analyst: The Wagner Wire It's time again for a 69 pack of thoughts, musings, facts, and anecdotes from your Sweet Fantasy. The Patriots D is going to force Tom Brady to throw a lot this year. Brandin Cooks showed what kind of an impact he can have last week. He is still going to be frustrating to own week to week. Deshaun Watson is going to have some big fantasy weeks in this league. Is it just me or does D'onta Foreman already look like the best RB on the Texans? Jared Goff and the Rams offense looked amazing against the 49ers. If they can have a similar game against the Cowboys it will be time

Sweet Fantasy 2017 – AFC West Preview

Chris Sweet - Senior Fantasy Analyst: The Wagner Wire This is the 4th part of an 8 part series. You can find the previous installments below. AFC South AFC North AFC East Our 4th and final Division of the AFC brings us to the Wild Wild West. The West is perhaps the best division in the NFL at the moment. There are a few high powered offenses and a few stout defenses and plenty of intriguing Fantasy Studs and sleepers. Some players and teams have changed places, old fantasy favorites have unretired to come home. Let's get it on!   Denver Broncos Just a few short years ago Peyton Manning helped make virtually every member of the Broncos offense a fantasy stud, even Knowshon Moreno. Peyton is gone

Sweet Fantasy 2017 – AFC South Preview

Chris Sweet - Senior Fantasy Analyst: The Wagner Wire This is the 3rd part of an 8 part series. You can find the previous installments below. AFC North AFC East For our 3rd installment, we are heading to the AFC South. This is a division that was owned by Peyton Manning and the Colts for over a decade. When the Colts drafted Andrew Luck it seemed like they would own it for the next decade as well. Going into 2017 that is not the case. The South is as open as it has been and there is no shortage of Fantasy Football Performers. Houston Texans   It took no time for the Texans to be dealt a huge blow when Will Fuller broke his collarbone as training
