Chris Sweet – Senior Fantasy Analyst: The Wagner Wire

Fantasy Freaks, It’s time for your Sweet Fantasy to give you the top Running Back plays of Week 6. The value was harder to find this week so don’t be afraid to spend up for your Running Backs.

Matt Forte $7,100 DK/$13,800 FDraft/$8,400 FD

I love Forte’s match up this week especially on DraftKings as he is Jay Cutlers first option in the passing game as well as the guy getting virtually every carry. He’s a guy to build your lineup around in cash games this week. The Lions might be the worst team in the league. If you pay up for one back, it should be Forte.

Arian Foster $7,000 DK/$13,500 FDraft/$8,500 FD

Arian Foster is a Wagner Wire staff favorite this week. While he is always an injury concern this should be one of those classic AFC South Arian Foster games. I can definitely see this one turning in to a shootout in which Foster is not only churning out the tough yards but also catching plenty of screens. This could be one of his patented 100 on the ground and 50 or more through the air games with a couple of TDs mixed in. His price tag is much cheaper than someone like LeVeon Bell and he should have a better day on Sunday.

Dion Lewis $5,800 DK/$11,900 FDraft/$7,200 FD

If you read my values column every week then you know I love me some Dion Lewis. His salary has taken a deserved bump on all sites but he is still priced reasonably enough to put him in your rosters. There are few teams where every major position player gets their points every week but the Pats are that team this year and in this game they are definitely going to score some serious points. I do like Blount as a value back this week but Lewis is going to get his too. He might not have a ton of 100 yard rushing games this year but he’s either gotten 100 yards from scrimmage or a TD in every game this year. Still as safe a play as there is for cash games.

Danny Woodhead $4,700 DK/$8,700 FDraft/$6,000 FD

You might have noticed from reading my columns that I love running backs that catch the ball. They have a much higher floor than guys that rely on a heavy workload. Woodhead is a good play pretty much every week. He’s pretty much always priced under 5k on DK and he’s reached double digits in fantasy points 4 out of 5 weeks. While he’s a good play most week he’s a GREAT play this week. I expect Aaron Rodger to have the Packers up big early in this one so this is gonna be a heavy Danny Woodhead game for the Chargers offense as they will be throwing almost exclusively. Look for a minimum of 5 catches for Woodhead in this one. Another great cash game play.
